Jennifer’s Wall of Fame – Created 28 January 2006

Video Recommendations is brand new to this site. I am a judge at With Silence & Tears so I see alot of amazing videos. While most everyone does an awesome job, I am going to try to categorize the videos I’ve seen that I’ve really enjoyed and would want others to watch as well. If you aren’t on here, it means I probably don’t have your site nor have I been to it to see any videos. If you’d like to send me a link to your site, Contact Me with an email! I look forward to being able to put lots and lots of great video links here! :) And since I started making videos to Buffy/Angel, I will have the television section listed first. I will try to keep things in alphabetical order by video name as to have some type of organizational process! However, since most people seem to be vidding to television shows now, I will try to categorize that by the show name.

Television:

All things Joss! : Buffy The Vampire Slayer / Angel / Firefly:

  • Blade by Aimee: This is an AU trailer for the movie Blade, but starring the cast of Angel. This is very inventive and edited wonderfully. Too bad it’s not actually a movie!
  • Chosen by Stormwolfe: I loved the editing in this video. The use of still shots gave it a very unique feel. The video was based on the last episode or two from BtVS and it wasn’t character based (it included the ‘potentials’ and wasn’t focused on just one character). The song was really fitting for the scenes and she did an outstanding job overall with this. The first time I watched it, I was so in awe of it and wanted to one day aspire to her skill level.
  • Counting Bodies Like Sheep by Noemi: This one was a kind of different video. I first watched this when judging it for With Silence and Tears. I was so speechless after watching this that I was unable to give it a proper review. The timing, editing, SFX were just absolutely brilliant. A must see video!
  • Dogma by Donna: I first came across Donna when I judged for 5×5 Awards. I remember this video as being a very dark, unique piece and thought she did a great job with this video. The use of SFX was great and her style of vidding is what made this video. It’s hard to make videos to songs with this type of beat and lyrical use. She did an outstanding job keeping up with the lyrics and pace of the song.
  • Down With The Sickness by Ryan: The first time I saw this video, I was just in shock that someone made an incredible video to this song. Down With The Sickness has been used in several videos and this one is awesome. The fast editing with the beat, SFX, and combining the forces of Willow /Cordy / Fred/Illyria gave this video a different flow. I absolutely love it!
  • In The Air Tonight by Marie: This is what we vidders like to call AU (alternate universe). Marie has made quite a few fantastic AU vids where she pairs characters that were never together on the show. This one was is exceptional! This one focuses on a Willow/Spike/Buffy triangle. I don’t want to spoil this for anyone who has not seen it! Everyone must check this one out!
  • Sin City by Zero Nephilim: An awesome Sin City trailer using the characters from Angel and BtVS. Very unique!!
  • Vindicated by Ryan: This was the very first video of Ryan’s that I saw. It’s very sentimental and uses footage from the original music video by Dashboard Confessional. This is still one of my favorites and worth the download time!
  • Charmed:

  • Smothered by Draconian Katra: Robert takes fast editing and action shots to the next level. He’s been vidding alot of Charmed and ALIAS videos and they do not disappoint in the least bit! Awesome editor!

    Smallville:

  • Run by Sarah Penney: I came across this video while judging for with silence & tears. I love the emotion shown in this video. Very sad and it’s one of my favorite new Smallville videos.

    That 70’s Show:

  • Boys In The Hood by Becca: I literally laughed my ass off watching this. Such a fun video and very amusing! Great comedic editing by Becca!
  • Veronica Mars:

  • Colorblind by whereistheluv:Excellent use of effects. Must see for all VM fans!
  • Jumper by Sarah Beth: Outstanding character study of Beaver! Nice editing
  • Silent Night by Donna: I absofreakinglutely love this video! I love the take on the Mac/Cassidy ending and the song is perfect! Also loved that Donna did something different with this video and put the words on the clips. Timing is excellent!
  • Movies:

  • A Time For Killing by Donna: While I’m not a huge fan of Rob Zombie’s directorial debut of House of 1,000 Corpses, I was really able to follow this video to the sequel ‘The Devil’s Rejects’. Again, Donna did a fantastic job with song selection and editing! Very violent and bloody but very much worth the download!
  • Back In Time by Shoopdancer: Great feel good video using the Back To The Future Trilogy. Great editing and an overall great video!
  • Bodies by Marie: Believe it or not, I hadn’t heard this song until I saw this video. Wow! Great timing and excellent editing. If you like horror flicks, then you’ll like this video.
  • Bodies by Sarah Beth: This is an awesome Serenity video. Great effects and awesome editing! A must see!
  • Closer by Kristin: *Warning – Christian Bale nudity in this one* The song choice for this video was perfect. I loved how twisted it was because let’s face it, the movie is kind of twisted. Very nice editing and very nice use of effects!
  • Donnie Darko by Khris: Awesome editing. Awesome movie. Awesome song choice!
  • Hero by Kate Pevensie: An awesome Sam character study video. If you are a LoTR fan, you’ll definately appreciate this video!
  • Number One Crush by Cec and Kaycee: Outstanding movie video to Underworld and Underworld Evolution. Editing is spot on and great song!
  • Personal Jesus by MJade: Excellent video for ‘The Crow’. I loved the song, the scene selection. Overall fantastic video!
  • Rock Star by Sarah Beth:Sarah Beth did a great job picking out a funky song to go with a funky Serenity video! I was really impressed with this video and really liked it.
  • Scar Tissue by whereistheluv: ‘The Virgin Suicides’ meets The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Fantastic editing and pace!
  • Signal To Noise by Andrea: This video follows Mal and his crew from Serenity. What I loved about this video is the pacing/timing of the clips and the scene selection. Andrea did a fantastic job with this and it is very much worth the download!
  • The Lost Boys by Tany: Ok. This video puts my Lost Boys video to shame. So much, in fact, I have considered taking mine down (it was my first ever movie vid) or either revamping it! Excellent work!
  • Violent Mood Swings by dragonchic: Fast action vid to ‘The Matrix’.
  • When I Am Queen by Aimee: Awesome movie vid to ‘The Craft’.
  • Will You Be There by Di: I really enjoyed this video. It is an extreme rarity for someone to vid to ‘Dead Poets Society’ and to use a Michael Jackson song to boot. Excellent video!
